Psychotherapy
PSYCHOTHERAPY, THERAPEUTIC COUNSELING & COACHING FOR WOMEN AND MEN
There are many reasons that a person will seek out therapy. Some have struggled with feelings of sadness, depression, and anxiety for years, and would like to get to the bottom of what is troubling them in order to live a more vibrant life. Others may be struggling with grief over some type of loss or life transition, such as divorce, loss of a loved one, or chronic illness. Some individuals come to psychotherapy, counseling or coaching not because they have immediate problems, but because they are experiencing a lack of energy and vitality, and long to connect with themselves in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Studies have shown that the most important factor for a successful outcome in psychotherapy is the relationship between the client and therapist, or the “therapeutic alliance.” My deepest intention when working with clients is to develop a strong sense of safety and trust which will allow for the feelings to unfold, and for true healing to take place.
Although I work with all aspects of an individual’s health and well-being, I have a particular interest in the following areas:
- Helping individuals to build a strong sense of self and self-worth
- Helping to navigate difficult mother/daughter and or father/daughter relationships
- Helping individuals to heal from their past physical, emotional, and sexual abuse and trauma
- Helping people to live a richer, deeper, more meaningful life.
- Self-esteem/worth/confidence
- Recovery from issues related to disordered eating and poor body image
- Women’s Issues
